Hi again Dorothy,I just wanted to update you on this situation. After I contacted Brian Granger, he called me back and we set up a meeting to discuss the situation. He couldn’t have been more helpful, knowledgable, informative, professional, and reassuring! 🙂 We spent nearly an hour going over everything, both with the roof and our porch situation. He knows all about the shingle defect process and said he would be more than happy to walk through the process with me of recouping the settlement money from the company. He also inspected the roof and porch and gave us estimates on both, which looked very reasonable and fair. With that, we hired him to do the work on the roof, and we definately plan to use him to repair the porch next summer when we have a little more money. His crew came by on Wednesday and replaced the entire roof and we couldn’t be more pleased with their workmanship and quality. Brian came by during the work and went over everything with me again, including the process to recoup the settlement money from CertainTeed shingle company. Yesterday, they came by to tie up a few little loose ends, and he gave us one final inspection and gave us another detailed and personal explanation of the warrantee and other issues. So, the bottom line is that we absolutely love Brian and his Solid Construction company and are so glad that we have a new roof! Our roof was in bad shape. We called Solid Construction to re-shingle it. Throughout the whole process, the owner, Brian Grainger, and all the crew were very professional and did great work! Our roof looks wonderful now and it is so great to have a roof that no longer leaks! We have a large house and it was all completed in one day. They cleaned up everything, and besides a new roof and a sign out front, you could barely tell they had been there! Brain kept in touch with us through the whole process to make sure that everything was going well and see if we had any questions. During the follow-up, he even took the time to look at a few other things around the house that needed to be repaired. He is very knowledgeable about all things construction. Also, you could tell that their customers are very important to them. Dear Brian, The work you and your crew did connecting our downspouts to the city storm sewer system yesterday was exceptional. You not only did the actual difficult work with exceptional professionalism, you were also very patient with our questions. It was a difficult decision to invest in this project, but since we have had water problems with our house for four years, we decided that the roof run-off must be controlled. All city permits and rules were handled by you with efficiency. This process has not always been done for us when we had other work done.
